A street thug with a heart. That was Benny Negrete. To the outside world, he looked like bad news, but anyone who knew him knew he was intelligent, honest, and most importantly, caring. He looked out for the people he loved. But it hasn’t always been that way.
Sophie Basi, a successful doctor with a promising career, has tried hard to put the past behind her. It even worked for a while, but she never expected to run into Benny again. He’s the one person who can summon the past and unravel her perfectly crafted life.
When avoidance doesn’t work, the two are forced to relive their recollections of a past they are both desperate to forget. Can they let it go? Or are they forever going to live in their memories, with the future just out of reach?

Maya's Review
Sometimes you pick up a book thinking you know exactly what you're going to get. Then you get a very pleasant surprise. This book was one of those. Once I started reading it, I didn't want to put it down.
Benny as a character was quite refreshing to read about. Yes, the world perceived him as a bad boy and he was up to a point. But he was a man with a conscience and he really did care about the people around him even if he did get into trouble every so often.
Sophie knows a different Benny and when they are thrust together, she wants to be anywhere but where he is. The past dictates a lot for these two and the question becomes, can they really ever get over them.
This is a solid read and comes easy to recommend.
Currently available for 99cents/99pence. Don't miss it.
