Love, Vegas Style series by Ethan Stone
Muse (Gay, Interracial erotica)
Years ago author Micah Shea had a dream about a sexy adventurer, seeing the man in perfect detail. He’s been using the hot fellow as his muse—and star of his books—ever since. He’s always assumed Declan Muse was just a figment of his imagination.
Afraid of coming off as insane, Micah is hesitant to tell Trevor about Declan Muse, but Trevor learns the truth and it all goes to hell. Now Micah only has a short time to convince Trevor he isn’t a psycho and that their relationship deserves a chance at a future.
The story is set around an authors/readers conference at a Las Vegas hotel. There's so much sexy times going on and Micah an M/M author meets a guy, Trevor, who looks exactly like the lead character in his popular book series, down to the tattoo and birthmark. There's instant attraction between the two of them and they did heat up almost every available space in the hotel. *wink* But what happens when Trevor finds out his uncanny resemblance to a fictional character?
This is a great quickie. The erotica is done really well and you can't help getting hot under the collar. There are also tender moments that getting you sighing with pleasure. I certainly think second time of reading this was twice as nice so I'm upgrading my rating for this.
Diamond magnate Sly Carson is headed to the Hotel Incognito, the premier resort for gay men in Las Vegas. He plans to take advantage of the time away from his homophobic father and have as much fun as possible. But the fun ends when he bumps into his old flame, Rory Klein.
Rory's job working at a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center has left him emotionally drained. A few days away was supposed to relax him, but there's nothing relaxing about facing the man who broke his heart in college.
Twenty years have passed, but time doesn't necessarily heal all wounds. This weekend could be their last chance to make things right, but a confession from Sly could ruin everything.
One of the things I enjoy about series books is that you get to catch up on some characters you've met in previous books of the series. In this series the link is the setting which is Hotel Incognito in Las Vegas. It's a destination resort for gay men. The brochure probably reads, 'leave you inhibitions at the door' or something similar.
Sly is the CEO of a diamond company and needs a break so chooses Hotel Incognito. He's in the closet because his father threatened a long time ago to disinherit him if he was gay. About the same time he'd been in a relationship with Rory when they'd been in college together. The break up was hard on both of them. Fast forward twenty years and they both meet by chance at the resort in hotel.
There's so much resentment bubbling around them when the meet up again. Old feelings are hard to squash down. But as the start relaxing around each other, they find that the old love they had for each other is still there. But how are they going to navigate around their painful history and is Sly ready to come out of the closet no matter the cost?
I love stories about second chances especially when it involves first love. Most people never forget their first loves and with Sly and Rory you couldn't help cheering for them even more so when you find out the reason for the break up.
There's more emphasis on the romance than the erotica with this book. But there's plenty of sizzling scenes to keep the temperature up. Also we get to read from Sly's as well as Rory's perspectives. Because this is a longer story, there's also more of a character growth arc.
Do you love your men on the furry side? You get two for you money with this one. *wink*
I'm definitely looking forward to book 3 of the series. I'd love to see where the author takes the characters especially Devon and Blaine? And maybe some new characters. Do we get to see Ricco again? I can't wait. A great read.

My Review
I read and review this book a while back. But when I got offer the chance to read the next book in teh series, it made sense to read it again. Second time around and the magic is still there. I'd even say I enjoyed it a lot better this time around. The story is set around an authors/readers conference at a Las Vegas hotel.
