It’s funny how your past choices always seem to follow you. But when it becomes a mistake that you will soon regret, there is only one thing you can do ‘Fix it.’ Juliette Daniels wanted to do just that, but every time she tried to do the right thing, she ended up getting sucked in deeper and deeper. Her destiny was not her own and one man controlled it. Her Master Ash Jacobs was a simple man, hard working with good morals, but the minute he met his sexy new neighbor that all changed. His obsession to find out who she was might have been the one thing to push her away, but there was no way he was going to give up until he found out the truth. Not even Sebastian Collins could stop the desire he had for her. |
BOOK REVIEW
Ash is a down to earth guy on a break from the security firm where he works when he meets his new neighbour, Juliette, who's moved into the ramsackled house a mile down the road. His attraction for her is immediate and he wants to find out more about her. But Juliette is as closed up as a clam and is hiding things from him.
Juliette is in a bit of a pickle. In fact, she's stuck in treacle mud by the looks of things and getting in deeper by the day. Mistakes she made in the past have her bound to a very manipulative man Sebastian who uses her for his purposes. She thought she was making a bad situation better by hiding it from her mother but only made it worse.
Of course, Ash is determined to find out what Juliette is hiding and will do anything to have the woman he is falling for safe. Ash and Juliette together totally sizzled and I was cheering them on. Ash really knew how to treat a woman. One of my favourite lines from the book:
He lifted my head with a gentle touch, and our eyes met. That was all it took, for at that moment, I was his.
The pacing of the story is at a steady rate. But one of my peeves with this books is the use of coincidences as plot device. It kind of weakened a great story.
Overall, this steamy romance is right up my street and an easy read. I hadn't read the previous books in the series but I didn't feel lost or confused while reading this one. Happy to recommend this.

Disclaimer: I volunteered to review this book.
Some would call me a little naughty but I see myself as a writer of spicy thoughts. Being an erotic romance writer is something that I never imagined I would be doing. There is nothing more rewarding than to put your thoughts down and sharing them. I began writing three years ago and have enjoyed every minute of it. When I first began writing, I really wasn’t sure what I was going to write. It didn’t take me long to realize that romance would be my niche. I believe that every life deserves a little bit of romance, a little spice doesn’t hurt either. When I am not writing, I enjoy the company of good friends and relaxing with a delicious glass of red wine. |
