Someone said "Who wants to read badass military romance?" and I yelled "Me!" Give me a great romantic suspense novel any day and if it has some kick ass men in uniform then I'm drooling.

This one didn't disappoint in that respect. This book has enough action of the kick ass and steamy kinds to keep my fingers swiping at the screen of my eReader until the last page.

Lily and Shane are childhood best friends and children of famous Hollywood parents. Shane shunned his heritage for a life in the military against his parents' wishes. But throughout his training he kept in tough with Lily. But when he is deployed, he supposedly dies in action. I say supposedly because while Lily and the rest of Shane's family attend Shane's funeral, Shane isn't really dead. He faked his death so he can operate in the 707 Special Ops team and keep Lily safe.

Every year afterward, Lily attends Shane's 'graveyard' and talks to him about things happening in her life. Every time there is a man sitting on a bench with a cap and beard obscuring his face. Twelve years later Lily has changed her life from a 'fake' one to setting up a charitable foundation to help people.

One day trouble finds Lily right there at Shane's grave in the form of two men who want to abduct Lily. Guess, who comes to her rescue. Shane, of course. I saw that coming from a mile away. LOL.

Shane and Lily reconnect under tough circumstances and they have a lot on their plate, including family drama. One of Shane's old team mates has gone rogue and has his sights set on Lily to get back at his old team. Can Shane keep Lily safe? Do Lily and Shane have a future considering his line of work?

I really enjoyed this story. The pacing is pretty steady. There's enough smexiness to steam up the windows. The characters are loveable and I totally fell in love with the 707 team. Please tell me the boys all get their own stories. I'd love to read them. A great introduction to this author's work and I will be reading more.
