Pros
It’s great fun looking at women through a man’s
eyes—fictionally, anyway!—and focussing on sexy encounters only, rather than
any romantic entanglements.
I get to explore the friendship between my two lead
males, how they speak to each other, wind each other up and egg each other on.
It’s a challenge, one that’s a great deal of fun and
allows me to use, in this series anyway, some of my travel experience, but dig
deeper below the surface and explore what young men would do put in those
places.
I can be even ruder and cruder than usual.
I get to use some of the fantasies my male friends
have told me about in a more realistic way.
Cons
I have to be careful about the language used – I’m
writing for men, from a man’s perspective, so I have to make sure the boys
don’t say something girly!
It’s sometimes difficult to remain in that mindset,
because for the most part, I write how I speak, but as a female, I can’t do
that in this series!
The readership is much smaller, and these particular
books don’t sell anywhere near as well as my stuff aimed at women. Having said
that, most of the comments I’ve had about these books have been from women who
have also enjoyed them.
