Go faster.
Go faster.
Go. Sodding. Faster.
Valor tapped his foot impatiently, trying to ignore the periodic glares from the helicopter pilot. “Can this go any faster?”
Silence.
That’s a no, then?
The second Valor stepped off the helicopter, he reached for his mobile. He tried Bishan first, hoping against all the odds his beloved Bish would be conscious and able to pick up. No answer. Right.
He tried Detective Inspector Spurling next with no luck. He called Hugh, but his old schoolmate didn’t answer either. No news might be good news. I hope.
A friendly police officer met him once he’d gotten away from the helicopter and refused to give him any information while driving him through Windermere. Valor sat, frozen, unable to get his hands to stop shaking. Visions of Bishan covered in dust and blood kept flashing in front of his eyes.
All day an uneasy sensation had gnawed at his stomach. He’d ignored it, assuming all his family drama had caused his inner turmoil. Hugh’s call had brought all the nightmares of the last six months rushing back to him.
As they swerved around a corner, Valor got his first view of what had happened to the beautiful little restaurant. Smoke drifted above a partially collapsed building. The fire was clearly put out, though the firefighters continued to mill about outside.
How had any of his family survived?
Valor stumbled out of the vehicle when it finally came to a stop. “Bish?”
“Val?”
He barely heard Reggie, who stopped him from ducking under the caution tape. “I have to—”
“Bishan isn’t in there. They managed to extract him safely from underneath a collapsed wall. We’ve sealed it off to investigate for arson and attempted murder, and your presence will only muddy the waters for us.” Reggie grabbed him firmly by the shoulder and led him over to one of the unmarked SUVs. “Let’s get you over to the hospital to see him.”

“Might need about three more cups of tea before any of this makes any sense to me.” Valor rested his head on Bishan’s shoulder briefly. “I am so glad you’re home.”
Everyone aside from Valor had been decidedly odd since Bishan’s release from jail. He didn’t like it. At all. Why couldn’t their lives return to business as usual?
Well, probably not business as usual exactly.
Nothing could be quite normal after finding themselves smack dab in the midst of a mystery of the Poirot and Father Brown variety. The police had yet to figure out who’d begun the murderous campaign against former Harrovians; Bishan was only glad they’d stopped pursuing him for it.
He’d been freed from jail two days ago.
And sometimes it still felt as though he were there.
“It’s not an anagram,” Bishan insisted pedantically. And it wasn’t. The creepy murder messages left via bolded letters in old Harrow play programs might be puzzles, but they weren’t anagrams. “They’re not already formed into words that you have to unscramble.”
Valor had spread out the multiple not-anagrams across their kitchen table along with the two that had potentially been deciphered already. “So what are they?”
“Puzzles.”
“Right.” Valor grabbed his cup for more tea. “Do you think they got the first two correct?”
Bishan glanced at the two supposedly decoded messages with a critical eye. They both seemed plausible in the context of the victims and assuming the perpetrator was indeed a former schoolmate of theirs. He found the “Shh” or “Sh” at the beginning to be odd.
Shh. Not so cleverly done. Time’s almost up. When the clock strikes one, whose name shall be crossed out?
Sh. The play has just begun. Tick-tock. Tick-tock. Lord Byron is struck down. How many more to go?
“I’m not the killer. I don’t know.” Bishan picked up one of the programs yet to be deciphered. He wrote down each bolded letter at the top of a plain sheet of paper. “They seem threatening enough to be accurate.”
Valor plucked Staccato off the table and set the cat on his shoulder. “I know you’re not the killer, Bish.”
“I know you know.” Bishan couldn’t keep the slight sharpness out of his voice. He’d never doubted Valor’s belief in him.
Valor stretched a hand out to rest on Bishan’s shoulder. “I was agreeing.”
“Oh.” He deflated slightly. Non-autistics tended to agree by repeating what had been said, something he always found a bit confusing. “Of course.”

From best-selling author Dahlia Donovan comes a new witty novella between three very different men. With drama, emotional turmoil, and hilarious banter, be prepared to be swept away in Dahlia’s British M/M/M romance.

When one drunken night forever scars three best friends, will they ever find a way to pick up the pieces?

Eaten up with guilt, Ivan Black spends ten years hiding from the world. He retreats to his family forge to wallow in misery. Alone. So lonely his heart aches with it.

Wesley Cook and Rolland Spence have been together since university. They struggle through the physical scars of the accident, building a life in the ruins of their dreams. They find happiness but continue to miss their angry ginger Viking—Ivan.

In all the anger of wasted years, the three men find a way to forge a relationship as hot as the fires in the smithy.

Forged in Flood is a British contemporary M/M/M romance. With heartache, hot men with foul mouths, and plenty of heat, enjoy getting to know Ivan, Wesley, and Roland.

“Rolly. How many times do I have to remind you why we came before it sinks through your hard skull? We want to reconnect with him, so stop calling him an arse.” Wes pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed several times before speaking. “Repeat after me. Reconciliation.”
“Words over three syllables require a kiss before I listen.” Rolly shook his head wildly to send a spray of water flying from his mop of dark hair. “You can start below the belt and work your way up if you like. Give your tongue a good workout to keep you from nagging me so fecking much.”
“Maybe later.”
Rolly gave his long-time lover a broad, crooked grin; his black eyes met Wes’s bright hazel ones. “Just a maybe?”
His heart and dick as always gave an interested kick as he looked up into Wes’s twinkling gaze. Returning his attention to the door, Rolly banged his fist against it for a second time. He didn’t need to be distracted.
They’d always been opposites.
Wes had tawny-coloured skin, marked with scars from the accident, and black hair, what little of it showed since he shaved it so closely. His eyes were the brightest hazel, almost jewel toned. He was steady and strong in both body and mind, and smart, too smart to be a simple rugby pundit.
Unlike Rolly, Wes had always towered over everyone yet managed to almost instinctually evoke a sense of calm in others. His calm and mild temperament helped matters quite a bit. He’d never gotten himself into trouble either on the pitch or off it.
On the other hand, Rolly always felt dull by comparison when he peered into the mirror. His hair and eyes were the colour of mud that contrasted against the pasty white skin he’d inherited from his mother. Short, stocky, and built to run a ball down the pitch—or he had been until the car wreck left him with a permanent limp.
The door opened with a sharp thud when it bounced against the wall behind it. Rolly broke out of his thoughts to find himself face-to-face with a wild-eyed, bare-chested Ivan. He hadn’t changed much in their almost ten years apart—still tall and solid, looking like an angry ginger Viking with stark blue eyes and a strong-set jaw.
“Well? In with you both. I’m not chatting out in the rain.” Ivan spun around and disappeared into the forge, calling to them over his shoulder. “Tea’s on. You’ll want some to help you warm up. Fire’s on as well, so go stand by it.”

“Check out his new ink.” Wes drew Rolly’s attention to the massive artwork covering Ivan’s back. The tattoo was a huge set of demonic-looking angel wings—dark and shadowy. “We should’ve come to visit sooner.”

One dominant Marine.
One troubled rugby player.

The Sin Bin will never be the same.

Gray Baird’s to-do list for the year includes starting a restaurant, claiming his submissive, and keeping his nosy friends out of his business. He has his work seriously cut out for him.

Scottie Monk prides himself on bullying his way through problems—and sometimes even people. His life is spiralling out of his control, but he refuses to break. The last thing he expects is to find peace in the confines of submission.

One man will try to tame a lion.

One man will try to heal.

And both men will have to join forces to deal with a toxic family and invasive paparazzi.

The Lion Tamer is book six in Dahlia Donovan's international bestselling gay romance series, The Sin Bin. Each one features hot rugby players and the men who steal their hearts.

It is recommended that readers have read at least The Royal Marine and The Unexpected Santa prior to reading The Lion Tamer.

Wanting to impress his new backers, Gray got to work preparing a truly impressive spread with boeuf bourguignon toast, prime rib sliders, and whisky-glazed wings for starters, and a brown butter roast chicken with smashed potatoes for the entrée. Akash had brought over a selection of cakes; he’d be providing desserts for the restaurant for the foreseeable future. There were also potential future menus on paper to show the owners.
Fuck me.
This felt like more work than boot camp—it isn’t, but it sure as fuck feels like it.
“Oi. Gray? You in here?” Caddock barged into the kitchen. “We’re all seated out there. Scottie’s late—as ever. You ready to feed the ravenous horde?”
“You’ve got to stop reading Francis’s novels. Scottie’s only late because he decided to try to drink us all under the table again. He’s probably still sleeping it off.” BC strode in behind his friend. They both started towards the platters lined across one of the counters, only to freeze in place when Gray scowled at them. “Bugger. You ever consider refereeing? You’ve got the ‘punish the naughty rugby boys’ look down perfectly.”
Punish the naughty boys?
They’ve no fucking clue.
If they only knew….
Deciding not to go for the easy joke, Gray closed the two former rugby players out of his kitchen. He didn’t want them to get an early sampling of the food. His reputation preceded him, and they went without an argument.
When the server borrowed from the nightclub arrived to help him, Gray managed to get all the starters plated up without any trouble. He followed the waiter out into the restaurant to find the five rugby players waiting, seated around one of the larger tables. A slightly bleary-eyed Scottie took one look at him, muttered a few creative curses, smacked a laughing Caddock on the head, and bolted from the dining room.
“Well, he handled that as brilliantly as expected,” Remi, the lone Frenchman amongst the group of friends, remarked caustically. “Should someone retrieve him? I’m not in the mood to cater to the Monk temper today.”
“Bloody Frenchie,” BC muttered. “I am not sodding it.”
“Me either,” Caddock chimed in readily.
Gray exchanged a knowing look with Taine, who was the only serious one amongst the five, perhaps outside of Remi. “I’ll hunt the rabbit.”
“He’s sodding terrifying,” BC whispered to Caddock, eyes darting toward their new chef. Gray chuckled darkly. “Are we sure he wasn’t an assassin?”
“Just a marine.”
“They’re never just marines.” Remi met Gray’s stony gaze without flinching. “I doubt assassin is the right word for a decorated marine sniper and sergeant major.”
Interesting.
It sounded as if Remi had done a bit of research on him. Background check, maybe? It wouldn’t have been all that difficult to find a bit about his service history. The vast majority of his deployments before and after becoming a drill instructor were likely declassified.
With a nod to Remi, Gray made his way out of the restaurant. He blinked in the rare spring sunlight. His eyes quickly adjusted to allow him to spot Scottie, leaning against a nearby wall and muttering to himself.
“You’ve been avoiding me.” Gray walked purposefully forward until the toes of his shoes almost touched the edge of Scottie’s trainers. “Did I scare you?”
“Hardly.” Scottie tilted his head to scowl at him. “Fuck off. My head’s still killing me.”
"What do they call you rugby boys? Lions? Is that it? You're no fucking lion. You're a kitten who's barely off his mother's milk." Gray easily dodged the clumsy punch thrown his direction. Even without his thirty-plus years of military experience, avoiding the swing of a drunken man required little effort. “C’mon, kitten. Didn’t your mom tell you not to roll around in the dirt?”
“She called me her little fucking bastard and told me to drink bleach.” Scottie jerked his shoulders up in a hard shrug. “Didn’t learn much from the twat or anyone else in my family, come to think of it.”
“So? Want a medal?” Gray used his forearm to pin Scottie to the brick wall behind him. “Want a fucking trophy for surviving? Guess what? They don’t hand them out. I should know. I’d be first in line to receive one. You don’t get a pass from common courtesy because life hasn’t been fair. You’re not the only human being to survive a childhood of abuse and pain. Get the fuck over yourself.”
“I’m not a fucking kitten.” Scottie tried to shove him away, but Gray held him still. “What the fuck do you want?”
“Well, you’re certainly not a lion.” Gray bent forward to drag his nose along the side of Scottie’s neck, biting him just above his collar. “No, not a lion. You also still reek of booze. Forget to shower this morning?”
“Fuck you.”

Gray couldn’t resist a smirk when the evidence of Scottie’s arousal pressed against his leg. “Get back inside for the tasting, kitten. We’ll finish this later.”
