This is an interesting well written paranormal story blending mystery and suspense. Allison is recovering from a blood addiction when one of her friends gets killed and she discovers clues to his impending death. She has to investigate and find out who killed him.
She also has to deal with the vampire bond with her creator Vincent and a husband, Matt, who is an archangel but she can't be with him because there are rules preventing vampires from being with archangels. However she needs Matt to help her.
There is an interesting line up of characters and a few twists. Fans of the series will be happy with how it is wrapped up.
