#BookReview Stone Wear by Marilyn Lakewood #romance #BDSM @MarilynLakewood

Synopsis
When a woman who loves too deeply meets a man who doesn’t love at all, something's got to give.
32 year old photographer, Jillian Ingram, fills the emptiness in her life with single-minded commitment to work. After the death of her dominant husband, she avoids all reminders of her past and denies her yearning to submit to another man…but when masterful Nick Colton promises to fulfill three of her deepest fantasies, it’s a temptation she can’t refuse. He’s the perfect Dom – hardcore, generous, and temporary. His offer of a weekend affair suits her perfectly, because for a long-term relationship, Jillian needs the one thing that Nick can’t give…love.
37 year old Nick Colton doesn’t want romance. Burned by a recent divorce, all he requires now is a night or a weekend with a woman who likes cuffs, clamps, and hard sex. No talk of long-term relationships and especially love. He’s given up finding that one special submissive who’s strong enough to surrender to his control—until he meets Jillian, the woman of his hottest fantasies. But Jillian’s commitment to her career is as strong as Nick’s aversion to relationships, and when their weekend ends, they must each decide if a commitment to temporary should be a commitment to forever.

I saw this book and just had to go one click a copy for my reading pleasure. And I'm so glad I did.

Nick Colton is celebrating the end of an emotional and torturous divorce. Well, he would be celebrating if he hadn't just crashed his luxury boat in a freak storm into the pier of his lake house which he'd rented out to tenants. His woes are pushed aside when he wakes up to a hangover the next morning only to behold a woman who totally revs his engine. He'd sworn not to get serious with another woman after his broken marriage but one look at JT and his resolve is crumbling fast.

JT or Jillian is a photographer and she is at the lake house with some model friends  doing a shoot so she can win a contract for Stone Wear which is a company owned by Nick Colton, although she doesn't know it yet. There first encounter when she finds him in the crashed boat and drunk makes her thing he is unreliable but as she gets to know more of the man, he reminds her of her dead husband and Dom. But she's sworn not to get involved into a deep relationship and Nick is just the kind of man to demand all from her and she just can't do it. But she can't deny the attraction she has for him.

The question becomes how will a man who doesn't want to get serious convince a woman who only ever does serious that they are good together?

This story had a slow build up with Nick and JT kind of dancing around each other. Nick definitely wanted Jill but she kept rebuffing him. He definitely had patience and persistence. It was sweet watching as slowly and surely, Jill resistance crumbled. And of course the big secret, Nick hiding the fact that he owned the lake house and the company that JT was bidding for provided enough tension to keep me turning the pages.

This book had sizzling chemistry and steamy scenes. Nick and Jillian were such a great match. I loved that Jill wasn't kneeling at his feet or calling him 'Sir' right from the moment they meet like you get in some BDSM books. Nick had to work to earn her trust before she finally submitted. That's the way it should be.
There is a cast of engaging characters. I loved Grayson and Trey among others.

Do I recommend this? Yes, go and grab a copy. I picked up my copy for 99 cents so I'm a happy girl.
