Review of Adam's Apple by Liv Morris
Adam Kinglsley is in full control of all aspects of his
life. Known as a successful business man and a notorious playboy Adam get's
everything he wants including willing women falling at his feet. He is the use
them and lose them type of guy and not completely likeable at the start of the
book. However, he meets his match in the beautiful and intelligent Kathryn
Declour, a woman who teases and tantalises his sexual taste buds but does not
give in to him. This woman captures his attention like no other.
The story is told in first person from Adam's point of view,
which is unusual. The author gives us an insight into the way this playboy's
mind work, not only that but the confusion and frustration he feels too.
The Tantra elements are a refreshing change form BDSM
elements that are quite popular in many books. Life for these two is not
straightforward; a threat on Adam's life brings them closer together and
results in a Tantra session turning hot and steamy. Both begin to open up in
different ways, but as the story is in his point of view, we see and feel his
emotions played out in front of us. This session acts as a bit of an epiphany
for Adam who begins to examine his life and realises it is not as fulfilling as
he first thought.
Kathryn is a strong woman who lives her own life in her way.
Adam gets under her skin, and as they begin to develop their relationship and
we expect a Happy For Now ending, the author throws in a exciting and thrilling
event that leads the reader wondering what is next for these two.
The characters develop throughout the book and you grow to
like them. As the story is from his point of view and in his voice, together
with the Tantra elements is makes this book a good read.
Temptation (1.5) by
Liv Morris
This book is acts like a little snippet into the mind of
Kathryn Delcour, told in her point of view on the day she meets Adam. It starts
with a very sensual massage scene which tickles your taste buds and gives the
reader more knowledge of Tantra. We gets to experience firsthand her reaction
to meeting the infamous playboy and her reaction to his chat up attempts. As
this was read straight after book 1 I was a little disappointed that it didn't
continue from the cliff-hanger at the end of book 1.
Adam's Fall by Liv Morris.
This book is the final instalment of A Touch of Tantra told
from Adam's point of view. It starts off right where book 1 ended and continues
to unravel the events and how they
affect Adam. We learn more about his background and by doing so we understand
the billionaire more. The sex scenes are plentiful and I found myself skimming
over them to get to the intrigue of big business and desire for revenge that was
unfolding. Adam changes considerably in this book and is a very different
person at the end; gone is the fast living playboy and in his place is a
contented man who wants a quieter life. I missed the old Adam who was a man in
control of his life, very much an alpha man who was sexy as hell. We learn more
about Kathryn too and learn of the tragedy and abuse that has touched her life.
Big business dealings excite the reader but for me, they did not end in a
satisfying way; instead of the bad guy getting taught a real good lesson we see
Adam bested instead. The last chapter acts as a closing scene where we catch up
with both Kathryn and Adam as they drift off to enjoy their happy ever after.
