Book: The Stacks (The Complete Series)
Author: Katie Devoe
Synopsis
The Stacks – The Complete Series
Lose yourself in the sensual romance between Melanie and Tristan, now available in a single volume!
When Melanie Potter walks into the university library two years after graduation, she doesn’t expect to run into Professor Everett. So when he surprises her in the stacks, looking just as handsome as she remembered, she can’t deny her attraction to the once forbidden man she’s wasted years dreaming about.
Tristan Everett knows having a drink with a former student, especially one as enticing as Melanie Potter, is a mistake. But he takes one look at her and knows he has to have her. Even if it’s only for a night.
When Tristan asks for five days of submission, Mel agrees without a moment’s hesitation…But life is never as simple as saying yes and as their lives threaten to pull them apart, they must ask, Is this love or lust?
The Stacks was originally published as three novellas.
Tristan is a College Professor who's been attracted to Melanie since she was his student. Years after graduation Mel is back in the city and using the college library when they meet again. Tristan can't resist her and invites her out to drinks which she accepts. They enjoy each other's company and what starts out as 5 days of just fun and sex turns into something more serious when they can seem to let each other go after Mel starts her job at Princeton.
Although Tristan insists to himself that he isn't cut out for a relationship and love, it is soon obvious that there is more between the two of them as the stakes get higher.
I have to say I liked both Tristan and Mel very much. As an alpha hero, I loved the dominance as well as the vulnerability that he sometime displayed. It's fantastic to see a man who is always so sure of himself fall in love and become uncertain and even scared about losing the one he loves. Mel is strong and not afraid to go for what she wants.
This is my first time of reading this author and I can honestly say I will read her again. No doubt. She writes sexy romance the way I enjoy it: strong likeable characters, just enough steam to raise body temperatures and an intriguing storyline.
