#BookReview Best Lesbian Romance 2015 edited by @RadclyffeBSB @CleisPress

BLURB
The stories in Best Lesbian Romance 2015 will have readers falling in love with love all over again. A celebration of the swooning sensation of a first crush, the dizzying feel of a first touch and the raw electric elation of sexual passion are all captured here. Radclyffe, the highly lauded romance novelist and master editor always covers the full range of lesbian love- a real spectrum of experience with plenty of room for passion and possibility, as praised by The Advocate, "Every story the human heart can tell."

This collection of stories are the perfect holiday read, enough to dip in and out of whilst sunning yourself on the beach – which is exactly what I did.

The stories range from sweet heart warming stories to sensual tales and downright hot! It is a collection that has something for everyone who likes tales of love and romance.

I particularly enjoyed Some Nudity Required by Axa Lee, which was the first story in the anthology. It tells of slow discovery of your own beauty through the lens of a photographer. The model uses her imagination to get the right poses and boy is her imagination hot! We are left wondering if the two end up together or not so follow the clues and you might figure it out.

Long Drive by L.C. Spoering tells of love over the internet. It is the day when they will finally meet after many hours spent together on Skype, where their desire for each other has slowly built up. We feel the anticipation, longing and the desperation they feel to claim each other as quickly as possible. They seem to have found a home together.

Love Dance by Merina Canyon was also a fave. It tells of two lovers who have parted. They meet again at a party where we learn that they parted because of the desire of one of the girls to keep their relationship under wraps. During a dance with another work colleague passion is ignited from afar and we see them wanting a future together no matter what may lie ahead. A real Ahhh moment.

Going to that chapel by Giselle Renarde is the last one I am going to mention. The wedding day has arrived and our couple reminisce about the journey that has lead them to the chapel. Along the way we learn of a homophobic neighbour who has been abusive to them. After a messy start- literally - they go home to change and discover this angry neighbour collapse. Girls go to the rescue and the locals stop to find out what’s going on. They save the life of the neighbour and are crowned heroes with many of their community wanting to enjoy their special day with them.

As I said there are different types of stories and the above are just some that I enjoyed in the book. There were others that were not to my taste – mostly those that focused on the sex rather the an insight into individuals.

A good read in all.
