Trig isn’t looking for something special when he comes to the Gay Riders’ Carnival this year, but it just might have come looking for him.
It’s Trig’s fourth year at the Gay Riders’ Carnival and this year he’s not sure if he’s looking for more than a few nights of camping, checking out the booths and listening to the music. He’s been dumped a lot in the last year and is looking more to lick his wounds and just relax.
It’s the first time at the Carnival for Tarzan and he doesn’t know exactly what to expect. When he lays eyes on Trig, though, he knows what he wants. Trig claims he’s not a bottom, but he’s tripping all of Tarzan’s instincts.
Can these two men find a middle ground, or will their attraction last only as long as the Carnival itself?
I really enjoyed this author's 'Sealed with a Kink' series. So when the chance came to review this book, I grabbed it, hoping to experience the same sense of excitement I had with previous books.
Trig is at the Gay Riders' Carnival annual event. He's in between subs and just wants to take a break and chill. He's not really looking for a relationship but knows he's likely to get loads of action over the weekend.
In walks Tarzan. Yes, you read that right. Tarzan. LOL. He's very toppy and definitely a Dom and he had his eyes on Trig. But Trig doesn't bottom and he's no sub, right?
The premise of this story caught my attention but the delivery just didn't quite hit all the marks for me. I connected with Trig at the start but it seems as soon as Tarzan entered the picture he had a personality change. He just went the flow. I never felt any real conflict and no real tension. I was sitting there, flicking the pages, waiting for the moment Trig would put up some resistance and challenge Tarzan but it never came. It was like one minute he was saying 'I'm not a boy' and the next he was saying 'yes sir'.
Two-thirds of this book was Trig and Tarzan making out and steaming up the caravan. There's certainly enough hot erotic scenes but I wanted more. Will I read more of this author? Certainly. I think they write M/M kink well. Do I recommend this book? Yes, if you're looking for a quick erotic read with no fuss.
