#BookReview: Hold My Hand by Paloma Beck #erotica @PalomaBeck

Tags: Erotica, Contemporary, Romance

Blurb/Synopsis:
A story about Aubrey, a young woman filled with hurt, and William, a man who can't walk away. They're navigating through a relationship that may have too many hurdles... or perhaps not, as long as she can hold his hand.

Aubrey has been hurt in the past, discouraged and degraded by a heartless father. Still, William sees something in her that won't allow him to walk away. Instantly drawn to her but intuitive enough to take it slowly, he courts her. Then he bargains, persuades and seduces until Aubrey becomes ensnared by his commanding nature. Despite the fight she puts up in accepting William's lifestyle, the bonds he places on Aubrey give her a freedom she desperately needs. And together, they heal old wounds and find their perfect love.

Kay's Review
This author has a beautifully descriptive writing style that pulls you in and seduces you with words and imagery, as each scene unfolds and we follow the characters on their sexual journey.

Aubrey is a likeable character and it's easy to connect with her but I wanted there to be more to her than we saw. I felt as if she was a shell only filled out as her relationship with William progressed. Perhaps, that's just the way the author wanted us to view her. However, considering the kind of relationship she'd had with her father, it just didn't quite sit right with me for her to give that much control to another man.

But then again, this is a romantic novel and reality is romanticised here. William is a gentleman who has watched her for months before he ever made the move to seduce her. Despite his 'rules' he is kind and gentle and cares for her.

Once the story gets going, things move along pretty quickly. This is erotica so be prepared for some sizzling love scenes. It is easy to cheer for them as a couple and wish them well. I'm hoping to see a stronger woman in Aubrey in the second book of the series Touch My Heart as their story continues.
