Subha's Review
Tragedy hits Dahlia’s life. After such a short time
reuniting with the man she left – he is no more. We see a woman in the depths
of despair – who can see no real future and no reason to live. The emotional
turmoil feels real and the feeling are brought to life on the page.
Forced to go on holiday with her sister Lily and friend Vi,
all Dahlia wants to do is wallow in the mire she is in. Only after a snake
bites her, she is rescued by a handsome resort manager - Kai and she
experiences a different type of spirituality through a local healer. Dahlia
enjoys a fling with Kai and begins to come out of her sadness. Both understand
where the other is at so they live in the moment. She returns to her life –
stronger and – and picks up with an old flame briefly.
Just when we think shehap is on her way to sorting out her
life – another shock hits her – right at the end and we are left hanging on
wondering what will happen next.
I loved this book – the emotions are raw and heartfelt.
Dahlia’s struggle to emerge from her personal darkness is well written and the
cliff-hanger was…well…the reason I was glad I had the next book waiting on my
eReader.

Subha's Review
A mysterious letter from her deceased love Shane sends
Dahlia on a chase – for the truth and the daughter she thought had died.
Along this search she discovers a betrayal that is shocking
and painful. Dahlia is determined to find her little girl.
In this story we get to learn a little more about her best
friend Vi and the past she thought she had left behind. You know there is more
to Vi than we see – hints and little clues point to her story not being as
straight forward as we might think catches the reader’s attention.
The path to her daughter is not smooth but we are left with
the idea that all will be well at the end.
Dahlia indulges in hot sex and finds her own ‘Happy For Now’. For me this was a thoroughly good read.
