Kay's Review

Break the Sky is part of the Spiral of Bliss series. I hadn't read any of the previous books. But that wasn't a problem because this can be read as a standalone. The references to characters from previous books are easy to assimilate.

Kelsey is an assistant professor whose tenure is up for renewal and she's hoping to get the position of a permanent professor. She is strong, independent and ambitious. But one thing she loves about her job is the opportunity to chase and research tornadoes. The research project she's working on is being canned for lack of conclusive data. Pissed off at this outcome, she ends up at a bar for drinks.

This is how she meets Archer for the first time. Archer has bad boy written all over him. He is tatted, rides a beat up Harley and is a drifter with no current abode or permanent job. The total opposite of Kelsey. But they say opposites attract, right? Their attraction is off the scale hot and although Kelsey seemed determined to resist at first, Archer was determined to wear her down and to quote him:

“I want to sleep with you, Kelsey March,” he whispered. “After I kiss, bite, and lick you. After I fuck you deep. After I make you come so hard you scream my name. After I make you lose control. That’s my definition of finish."

This is my first time of reading this author and I must say, I will read her book again. If you love your romance with steam, then check this out.
