Right from the first page, I was riveted to this story. Gemini is a slave captured from earth and taken to live in Cirrion. Now that she's grown into a woman her master, Zorran decides its not safe for her to stay in Cirrion any more so he takes her to Drakan and gifts her to his lover, Ornack who needs a mate and a wife to help make more babies for his dying race.

I could write a contrast and compare thesis on the differences between the two male leads, Zorran and Ornack. But it is enough for me to say that what Zorran lacked in the showing of tenderness and love, Ornack made up in bucket loads. I loved the differences in both characters and their emotional struggles. It was so easy to fall in love with both men (or rather aliens). Yes, they are hunks of aliens. Ornack has a pair of horns on his head that work as sexual appendages, if you get my drift and Zorran changes skin colour to indicate his emotional state. I had to smile whenever this happened because he was supposed to be the one who didn't have any emotions. LOL. And this brings me to Gemini, she is a feisty and strong female character who is not afraid to make her opinion know even with a pair of dominant male lovers. Then again, I don't expect anything less from this author.

The love and lust between all three of them were expressed abundantly with the characters as pair and trios and it was obvious right from the start how much they meant to each other, even when they refused to acknowledge that fact initially. (Read--the sex scenes where HOT, all variations of it, mm, mf, mfm, you name it.)

Granted, this book is probably not for everybody especially if you don't read poly-amorous or LGBT-themed books. But underneath is a beautiful love story about fighting to keep the ones you love safe. And the author shows how a trifecta can work perfectly. She knows how to blend the physical attractions between the characters with an emotional connection which makes you empathize with their situations and in some cases picture yourself in said situations. If you like your romance with a heavy dose of steam and kink, then this is definitely one for you. I love it. 

Glutton for punishment would be a good description for Doris... at least that's what she hears on an almost daily basis when people find out that she has a brood of nine children, ranging from adult to toddler and lives happily in a far too small house, cluttered with children, pets, dust bunnies, and one very understanding and supportive husband. Domestic goddess she is not.

There is always something better to do after all, like working on the latest manuscript and trying not to scare the locals even more than usual by talking out loud to the voices in her head. Her characters tend to be pretty insistent to get their stories told, and you will find Doris burning the midnight oil on a regular basis. Only time to get any peace and quiet and besides, sleep is for wimps.

She likes to spin sensual, sassy, and sexy tales involving alpha heroes to die for, and heroines who give as good as they get. From contemporary to paranormal, BDSM to F/F, and Ménage, haunting love stories are guaranteed.
